Chimung geog comprises six villages with 198 households and 749 populations. The geog covers ab area of approximately 52.76 square kilometers.The climate is moderate.Land use pattern is dominated by tseri and dry land with no wetland farming.It is officially two days walk from the Dzongkhag.The geog has potentially of producing cash crops such as oranges, banana, pineapples, ginger, mango, sugarcane and tapioca. Provided with good irrigation channel facilities, as a whole Chimung village can be converted into wetland area. With no access of motor-able road connection. It is difficult to carry on the developmental activities. Today it has two community primary school, 3 NFE centres,geog administration, RNR center and BHU. The villages are accessible to telephone communication.
