Dechenling geog covers an area of 136.58 square kilometers sharing boundary with Zhemang and Mongar. It takes around three hours from Nganglam Dungkhag and around 4 hours from Yangmari under Weringla Dungkhag.The geog has 13 villages and 464 households with a total population of 20363.The climate varies from sub-tropical to cool temperature.The altitude ranges from 500 to 1600 meters above sea level.The type of soil is sandy and clayey loam which is favourable for agriculture and horticulture development.Kamzhing and tseri are the major landholdings.maize millet buckwheat and mustard are widely grown.Paddy though grown, is not very popular because of the lack of water for irrigation. orange is the main cash crop. It has potentially for other cash crops lik guava,peach,plum,pear, mango, and banana and rice cultivation.Acess to motor able road connection is only its weekness for the development and effective transportation. Gyelposhing-Nganglam highway constructed and up-coming Dungsam cement Project would boost its economic activities and live of its people.It has 2 community primary schools.
