Norbugang geog has 8 villages and 365 households with the total population of 3237. It is bordered by Chhokorling geog to the east , Dechenling geog to the north, Panbang Dungkhag under Zhemgang Dzongkhag to the west, and the Indian state of Assam to the south. The geog experiences sub-tropical climate and receives heavy rainfall during monsoon. The altitude ranges from 200 to 2200 meters’ above the sea level. Khamzhing and tseri are the major landholdings. The type of soil is sandy and clayey loamy. Maize is staple diet. Paddy, millet and buckwheat are also grown. Orange is the main cash crop. Paddy cultivation is limited mainly due to the lack of water for irrigation. It has potential for other cash crops like cardamom, pineapple, guavas, jack fruit, mango and ginger. Nganglam Dungkhag is in the geog and has one MSS, one LSS and one CPS.
