Zobel geog has 8 villages with 340 households and 1763 population. It has a total area of 63 square kilometers. Its elevation ranges from 100 to 3500 meters’ above sea level. With about 25 km of farm road, it is one of the accessible geog in the Dzongkhag. The rugged terrain and dispersed settlements are the challenges for the developmental activities. Tseri and dry land cultivation dominate land use with maize cultivation as the main cereal crop. Due to lack of water source for irrigation, farming is the largely dependent on the rainfall and crop production yield are low. Development of diary farming, poultry and cash crop such as potatoes, apple, asparagus and orange are highly potential. The geog has newly an established geog centre, RNR centre and BHU. It has one full fledged boarding LSS and two CPS.
