Toward the goal of farm mechanization and making farm works less labor intensive, 39 mini power tillers were officially handed over to the people of 8 Gewogs of Upper PemaGatshel.
The tillers are expected to significantly reduce farm labor challenges, improve efficiency, and support rural communities in transitioning from manual work to mechanized agriculture. The CARLEP team also conducted live demonstrations, emphasizing safety, maintenance, and multi-functionality. This initiative marks a key step toward strengthening food security and commercial farming in the region.
These power-tillers were procured and distributed on cost-sharing basis with the beneficiaries.
