Formal Launch of Milk Processing Unit at Nangkor, Shumar

The Milk Processing Unit (MPU) at Nangkor, Shumar was formally launched today.

The MPU is a major step toward value addition in milk and milk products, and rural economic upliftment. It is expected to benefit local dairy farmers through streamlined milk collection, efficient processing, and improved marketing.

The livestock sector intends to gradually upgrade it into an integrated dairy plant through product diversification and setting up value chain through linkages with dairy farmers in neighboring Gewogs.
